•A: Yes, Canada Reconnect will reconnect your home phone service no matter how much you owe to a previous company. Everyone is approved!

•Q: How long will it take for me to get a phone number and for service to begin?
•A: In 80% of reconnection cases, Canada Reconnect can reconnect you in 2-3 business days from the date we receive payment. In certain provinces and in extraordinary circumstances where technical servicing is required, it may take a bit longer, so that’s why our standard answer is up to 10 business days.

•Q: Why do I need a home phone if I already have a cell phone?
•A: Home phones are a much more cost-effective way to stay in touch. •Q: Why does it cost more than Telus or Bell, etc etc?
•A: Since we are buying and reselling the local carrier lines to you, there is a modest mark-up to cover our administration expenses. Canada Reconnect is fully registered with and regulated by the CRTC (-just like the big phone companies).

•Q: So… who do I call with technical issues?
•A: As your new telephone company, Canada Reconnect will handle and work to resolve any technical issues you may have. Just contact us, and we'll ensure you get prompt and qualified phone repair service from our vendors.

•Q: What’s included in basic monthly service?
•A: With Canada Reconnect, you enjoy clear phone service connections, unlimited local calling and free 911 emergency service routed to the nearest response unit in your area, just like the larger telephone companies. If you would like additional calling service features, such as Call Answering, Call Display, Call Waiting or Long Distance minutes, you can choose to add those on – just call one of our friendly service representatives to find out how!

•Q: How can I make my payments?

•Q: Will I receive an invoice every month?
•A: As a courtesy, we mail you a statement every month, 10 days prior to your due date. As a prepaid service, you will need to ensure that your full telephone service payment is received on or prior to your due date so that your phone service remains uninterrupted.

•Q: Can I schedule a monthly payment date that works best for me?
•A: Absolutely! After you make your initial payment to Canada Reconnect, just ask one of our customer service reps about adjusting your monthly due date to a re-occurring date that is best for you.

•Q: If I miss a payment, how long will it be before I am disconnected?
•A: If you have missed your payment date, we will give you a courtesy call within 24-48 hours. If you do not or can not make acceptable payment arrangements to pay your balance in a reasonable time frame, we will begin the disconnection process. There is a late payment fee applied to any account that does not submit payment by its due date.

•Q: Can I keep the same number I had before I was disconnected by my old phone company?
•A: Unfortunately no, but we will give you a brand new phone number you can start fresh with.

•Q: If you disconnect me, can my telephone service be reconnected?
•A: Yes. There will be a reconnect fee that will need to be paid along with your monthly bill before we can reconnect you if you choose to stay with us. If your phone service remains disconnected for a lengthy period, we can not always guarantee that you will receive the same phone number originally but you may request it.

•Q: If I move, can I keep the telephone number you gave me?
•A: Yes, if your move is local and you have not had your telephone service disconnected prior to the move, you can keep your current number.

•Q: Can I cancel my phone service at anytime?
•A: Yes. And we charge absolutely no penalty to do so.
